The Coast Guard in Jacksonville says five people were on board a 70 foot boat some fifty miles off the coast of Fernandina beach when their vessel caught fire. A good samaritan helped out until 2 Coast Guard helicopters and boats could reach the scene. Coast Guard Petty Officer Anthony Soto says all 5 people on board were wearing life jackets and the fire disabled the engine. Investigators say there are no reports of injuries and they are trying to determine what may have caused the fire.
