Florida Senator Marco Rubio says its unacceptable to learn that an investigation into the IRS targeting scandal could take years.
Rubio tells WOKV former IRS official Lois Lerner has every right not to incriminate herself but says it causes him great concern the IRS has admitted to targeting political conservative groups in the past.
"I think we should all be concerned when such a powerful agency such as the IRS has admitted that it targeted conservative groups."
Rubio says he can understand Darrell Issa's frustration after Lois Lerner refused to testify.
"I think the argument that Chairman Issa is making is that she waived that right when she testified and gave a statement. Then she decided not to answer any more questions."
In his own words, Rubio feels the IRS is "dragging their feet" on these investigations. He says its unacceptable to think it could take a very long time to get the truth.
"It's unacceptable. They either did it or didn't. If they would be cooperative then we would have the answer to that."
