2 seriously injured in Nassau County crash

2 people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a head on collision early this morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says that the crash happened on US-17 just north of Hamilton Street in Nassau County at 6:30 AM. According to the crash report a woman was traveling south on US-17, when her truck veered into the northbound lanes  and hit  a car head on. The man driving the car and the woman driving the truck were both taken to UF health in serious condition. Police tell us the injured are both from Fernandina Beach.

There was a third vehicle involved, but the driver of that SUV was not injured.
