A17-year-old is behind bars and facing a murder charge accused of shooting a former classmate to death.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's office says both 17-year-old Gregory Robinson and 18-year-old Adrian Watkins had been expelled from school after a fight.
"We learned the victim and suspect were involved in a fist fight toward the end of January at school."
Police say the two men were hanging out at a mutual friend's house sometime before the fatal shooting earlier this month.
On February 1st around 6pm authorities were dispatched to a body in the 43-hundred block of Roanoke Boulevard. Watkins was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
JSO arrested Robinson and charged him with murder. Authorities say he has no prior criminal record. There is an active investigation into what led to the shooting.
Visitation for Watkin's family will be held on Friday, February 14th from 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM at the Chapel of Sarah L. Carter's Funeral Home located at 2212 Emerson Street.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15th at 11:30 AM at The Church Fellowship Worship Ministries located at 8808 Lem Turner Road.
Watkins will be laid to rest in the VA Hampton National.
