Jacksonville, FL — A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officer working in the construction zone on the Buckman Bridge was hit by a suspected drunk driver early today.
According to JSO, the officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The driver who hit the cruiser was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
The officer was working on the Buckman because of lane closures due to ongoing construction.
