Cindy continues to move over land & is accelerating northeast through the upper Tennessee / lower Ohio Valley...
Since moving inland early Thursday, "Cindy" has continued to weaken but is still producing very heavy rain & isolated tornadoes.
The remnant low will soon merge with an approaching cold front with the low then accelerating northeast & moving off the U.S. east coast over the weekend but with no regeneration.
The heaviest rain was focused on the Fl. Panhandle west through Mobile, Biloxi to near New Orleans:
Gulf of Mexico has gone pretty quiet:
Water vapor imagery below shows quite a bit of moisture over the Caribbean & starting to shoot northwest into the Gulf - ready to surge northward again by Sunday into early next week which will bring heavy rain to Jacksonville/NE Fl./SE Ga. Imbedded within the moisture is a tropical wave that is what's left of "Bret" - there will be no regeneration.
