Jacksonville, FL - An 18-year-old is found with a gun on the campus of Englewood High School Tuesday morning, and witnesses say he had made threats.
We’ve obtained the arrest report for Tamolis Clark, who is not a student at the school. He is charged with possessing a firearm on school property, possessing a weapon on school property, trespassing on school property with a firearm or other weapon, and carrying a concealed firearm.
Police say Clark was sitting in his car on school grounds with the engine off for about 15 minutes, and tried to drive away when an officer approached. Three people had entered the car during the time police were watching.
Once the car was stopped, the officer saw a gun on the floorboard of the car, at which time he took Clark out of the car and handcuffed him. The witnesses were also taken out and searched. In addition to the 22 caliber revolver pistol loaded with six rounds, police also found a box of 16 more rounds, a six inch knife, a black skull cap, black gloves and the smell of marijuana.
Clark told police he was picking up a friend to go get breakfast, but later admitted to having issues with some of the students at Englewood. One of the female witnesses told police Clark had told her he was going to bring the gun to school to resolve an issue with a current student. She says he also threatened to “get them boys with his 5 stick” at a party later in the week. Both she and another female witness say Clark bought the gun within the past week, although he says it was given to him from his grandfather.
He also told police he always carries a gun and knife either on himself or in his car.
