Teen killed in Baker County crash

Three families are dealing with different tragedies following a weekend crash in Baker County.

14 year-old Jordan Sommise died in a crash Saturday night. She was a passenger in a truck that flipped into the woods.
Friends gathered around the flag pole at Baker County High School for a prayer at 7:15 Monday morning.
Police say the 17 year-old driver, Austin Kight, tried to pass another vehicle when he lost control of the truck.  Kight was seriously hurt and police say charges are pending.

A 17 year-old passenger, Cory Craig of Macclenny was critically hurt.   He is hospitalized at Shands Jacksonville.

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Dylan Bryan tells WOKV News the group had attended the Christmas parade in Macclenny and were headed to another destination with three other vehicles.
None of the teenagers in the truck were wearing seatbelts.  Bryan says charges against the driver are pending.  Preliminary investigation finds alcohol did not play a factor in the crash.
