Jacksonville, FL — A 17-year-old from St. Johns was killed in a single-car crash Wednesday night.
According to FHP, Michael Sonognini was traveling north on Longleaf Pine Pkwy south of Greenbriar Road around 8:30pm.
For an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the 2001 Lexus as it entered into the center median and southbound lanes before it overturned.
Investigators say Sonognini was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
According to the St. Johns County School district, Sonognini was a senior at Creekside High School. Crisis counselors will be on hand Thursday.
