Three teenagers arrested for two Ponte Vedra Beach vehicle burglaries, one suspect allegedly found with two stolen guns

Jacksonville, FL — Three Duval County teenagers are facing charges, after they were allegedly caught in the act of breaking into a vehicle in Ponte Vedra Beach, early Friday morning.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office says a woman spotted them breaking into cars at the Fountains Apartment Complex, just before 2:00 am and called deputies.

The trio initially fled, but were taken into custody, after a brief search. Deputies say they were in the possession of stolen property, belonging to at least two victims.

In addition, deputies say they found two handguns in a vehicle belonging to one of the suspects that had been reported stolen in Duval County in September and last month.

The three suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Marcus Dunningan-Walters, 17-year-old Gary Harris, and 16-year-old Jaheem Small.

All three are charged with two counts of burglary and resisting arrest without violence. Walters and Harris are also charged with possessing burglary tools. Walters is additionally charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Detectives from St. Johns and Duval counties are continuing to investigate.
