Police released the identities of two people killed in an early morning crash on New Year's Day on Atlantic Bouelvard near the Intracoastal.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says 51 year-old Timothy Walsh and 48 year-old Pamala Mancillas - both of 2117 Indian Springs Drive - were pulling out of a strip mall and attempting to make a left onto Atlantic Boulevard westbound.
That's when they were struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed, causing their car roll over and land on the passenger side. The other car spun out.
Both Walsh and Mancillas were pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been filed, but we're told the investigation is ongoing.
