A woman is run over by her husband after he tries to leave the house during a fight.
Clay County police say it happened Saturday night around 8:30 at their home in the Mayfield subdivision off Alec Drive in Middleburg. Brooks and Nola Collier had been fighting when Brooks tried to leave the house. As Nola tried to stop him, Brooks ran her over with his pickup truck.
The 58-year-old was taken to Orange Park Medical Center where she later died.
Brooks Collier was arrested a short time later for leaving the scene of an accident and is scheduled to make his first court appearance.
Clay County police tell us they've received 43 calls from the Collier home since 2004. And Brooks Collier was arrested in 2009 for reckless driving and fleeing and eluding police.
