No injuries but a lot of damage left behind in a morning vehicle fire that tied up traffic on I-95 near Old St. Augustine Road.
A semi-truck hauling multiple vehicles blew a tire around 7:30am Monday, and the trailer caught fire. The fire quickly spread, causing four vehicles to burn.
The driver was able to safely bring the semi to a stop on the northbound shoulder of I-95. JFRD was able to successfully extinguish the fire.
Traffic on northbound I-95 was backed up to at least County Road 210 before finally clearing.
Four vehicles sustained severe fire damage. No one was hurt.
