Violent sexual predator makes lewd comments towards child, chases after him at Jacksonville restaurant

A violent sexual predator in Jacksonville was arrested after police said he made lewd comments towards a three-year-old.

Last Wednesday, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Carl Saucer, 54, approached the woman and her family at the Waffle House on 103rd St. and said that her child would be well endowed when he got older.

The family moved to a different table in the restaurant in an effort to avoid Saucer.

Police said surveillance video showed the suspect leave the business then return a short time after.

A waitress told the mother that Saucer was in the bathroom, peering at them through the window of the door.

Out of fear, the mother grabbed her child and the belongings in an effort to leave. As they were walking out of the restaurant, she told police that the suspect ran after them.

According to the arrest report, Saucer made statements that he knew he should have left when they sat by him, because he knows how he is with kids.

He also stated that he did not make any lewd comments. Rather, Saucer claimed that he told the woman that her child was “beautiful” and said that he was probably hungry, because the child was “big boned.”

Saucer was charged with aggravated stalking involving a victim under the age of 16. He was booked into the Duval County Jail on Mar. 3.

A check of his records shows Saucer was found guilty in 1999 for sexually assaulting a victim under 12-years-old.
