Jacksonville, FL None - An East Palatka woman high on crack and intoxicated was taken to the hospital with serious injuries on Monday evening after crashing a stolen truck into a tree.
The Times Union is reporting the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash that happened around 6:25pm near County Road 214.
Officers found 37-year-old Tonya Rigdon, who was unresponsive, trapped inside the 2006 Nissan.
Rigdon told authorities she had been smoking crack and police found a bottle of gin almost empty in the vehicle.
She was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police informed the owner of the truck, who reported it missing around 7:50pm, of what happened.
Authorities did not file charges at the time of the incident.
