St. Augustine, FL - We’ve learned the teens behind a St. Augustine crash which happened last Friday.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 14-year-old David Eugene Adams was driving north on Ford Street when he ran a stop sign at Butler Avenue and was hit by a car driven by 63-year-old Clarence Jones. Neither driver, nor Adams’ 12-year-old passenger Camry Carvel Dirden, were injured.
Adams and Jones fled after the car hit a chain link fence. FHP says the vehicle they were driving had been reported stolen.
FHP says it will issue charges relating to the traffic crash. More charges are pending further investigation by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
