2-year-old suffers burns in Arlington fire

A 2-year-old girl is in the hospital after the house she was in caught on fire Sunday afternoon in Arlington, according to The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

JFRD says they received a 911 call around 3:37 p.m. and responded to the house on the 2400 block of Claro Drive.

A 2-year-old girl was transported to UF Health with burn injuries.

Fire officals say the girl and a man were the only two home at the time of the fire.

The house suffered heavy fire damage.

JFRD says they do not know the cause of the fire at this time and have not estimated the damages.
