A Jacksonville man is convicted of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery after police say he killed a man after making plans to get high with him.

Police say in March of 2012,  20-year-old Enrique Pajaro and co-defendant Merienne Blake arranged to meet the victim at Blake's home and get high. Investigators say after Robert Scott passed out, Pajaro and Blake stole his drugs, smoked drugs and attacked Scott in his sleep. Police say Pajaro hit Scott multiple times with a hammer and choked him to death. Police say it all happened while Scott's three-year-old daughter was at home.

Pajara now faces life in prison.
