GOTHENBURG, Sweden - You've probably heard of the term "holy mackerel." Well, a man in Sweden claims he's found a holy salmon.
Fish-factory worker Lars Ludwigson claims to have discovered a salmon with a "perfectly shaped cross" on it. Photos of the fish do show a very clear black mark in the shape of a cross.
According to the Swedish site The Local, the man is now planning on taking the fantastic fish on a tour of the country so he can share the "miraculous" revelation with the rest of his countrymen.
Ludwigson told The Local that he is keeping the fish under wraps to ensure its safety before he offers it up for public display, "My original plan was to eat it, but I can't do that now. I've hidden the fish in a freezer because of this hysterical interest and I'm the only one who knows exactly where."
Ludwigson said he originally planned to eat the fish for a very special dinner, but thought it better to share it with others.
