He's 83 and facing criminal charges for DUI causing serious injury.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office reports Hayne De Yampert McCondichie was arrested Thursday night after his car hit a bicyclist on Ponte Vedra Boulevard, just south of the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club.
The woman on the bicycle, 37 year-old Jennifer Fulton, was taken to Baptist Hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the 83 year-old was arrested on open container of alcohol, DUI, DUI with property damage, DUI with Serious Injury, Driving on a Suspended License Habitual Violator, and Driving on a Suspended License resulting in Serious Injury.
