By WOKV News Team

Jacksonville, FL —

One man remains in critical condition after police say he was accidentally shot with a pellet gun.

22-year-old Charles Howey was visiting 21-year-old Cory Barnes at 8223 Hewitt Street.  They were playing around with the pellet gun when it discharged and hit Howey’s heart.  He was brought to a local hospital where he is now in critical condition.

There are no charges at this time, but the case is pending review by the State Attorney’s Office.
