A man is killed after getting hit by a car while riding his bicycle on the Westside of Jacksonville. Reports say the man died after being rushed to Shands Trauma Center around 6am. The crash happened around 530am. Our news partner channel 4 reports there were 2 other bicyclists with the man, but they were not hit in the crash. Police are interviewing the driver and have not released any names yet. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation. The Times Union reports the victim is a 36 year old man.
