Jacksonville, FL —
A sports rivalry between Jacksonville and Orlando just got more intense.
Brett Bouchy, who owns the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League, put up a pair of Daily Billboards that read, "Jacksonville sucks. See you rednecks on April 30. Love the Orlando Predators."
Bouchy told our news partner, Channel Four, he put up the billboards because he genuinely dislikes the people of Jacksonville, calling them "classless."
"It really isn't a marketing strategy. . .there's no game I would rather win on the schedule than the game against Jacksonville."
He says last season after his Predators beat the Sharks in Jacksonville, some drunk Sharks fans berated him and his family, including his five children, and that deeply upset him.
The irony behind all this is Brett's brother, Jeff, is a managing partner of the Sharks.
Jeff says there's no sibling rivalry.
"That doesn't bother me, but I guess it will hopefully ramp up the fans," says Jeff.
The Sharks host the Predators Saturday night.
