New York City, NY —

Shouts for justice on the streets of New York City, as outrage grows over the Central Florida shooting of a black teen.

Thousands walked from Union Square and along 14th Streets in hoodies - what unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was wearing when a neighborhood watch volunteer called him suspicious, then shot and killed him.

His parents traveled to New York to march with their supporters. Hundreds of people marched in Manhattan to demand justice in the case. The teen's father told marchers that his son did not deserve to die.

Demonstrators chanted we want arrests. Meanwhile, city commissioners in Sanford have passed a "no confidence" vote in the police chief. His fate rests with Sanford's city manager, who has reportedly asked for Chief Bill Lee, Jr.'s resignation.

The U.S. Justice Department has begun their own investigation into the case. George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who pulled the trigger, remains free.
