St. Augustine Beach, FL —
Three people are injured when a car drives in to a St. Augustine Beach home early this morning.
We’ve confirmed with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s office that the crash happened shortly after 2 AM at the intersection of 11th and Hydrangea Street, just west of State Road 1.
A 2003 Jeep Wrangler driven by 34-year-old Grant Ness, of St. Augustine, drove through an intersection, hit a parked truck and then ran in to a bedroom in a home on the 2400 block of Hydrangea Street.
The two people sleeping inside sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries. 33-year-old Jennifer Lyles and 36-year-old Brian Hubbel were both taken to Flagler hospital.
Ness was originally taken to Flagler but then transported to Shands Jacksonville. I confirmed with Shands that Ness is in the Trauma Unit and in critical condition.
