Jacksonville, FL —

A man from Illnois was stabbed to death at Fionn MacCool's at the Landing over the weekend. 42-year-old Chris Pettry was in town from Illinois to see the Bears take on the Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Pettry and his friend involved in an altercation early Sunday morning when his throat was cut.

A Jacksonville man, 27-year-old Matthew Hinson, was arrested on a murder charge and is in the Duval County Jail.

Lt. Rob Schoonover with JSO says the argument began when Hinson spotted Pettry and his friend talking to his wife and a friend of hers at the bar.

"He calmly and basically cold-bloodedly just cut the victim's throat and calmly walked out of the restaurant."

Here is an update from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, via their Facebook page:

Homicide responded to the scene.  Investigation revealed that the suspect, Matthew Hinson, 27 years old was seen cutting the throat of the victim.  Independent eyewitnesses gave detailed accounts of the incident.  Each described how the suspect cut the victim and calmly walked out of the establishment.
