One of the fastest growing developments in Florida may be a big boost for our region.
“Every time a new home is built it creates many jobs,” says PARC Group Managing Partner Rick Ray.
PARC Group is the master developer of Nocatee- a master planned community on the St. Johns-Duval County border. The community is growing at a rapid pace, and Ray says that means growth for the surrounding communities as well.
“Real estate development and new home sales provide a strong tax base and jobs base for the local economy,” he says.
Ray says there has been continued growth in the community, which now holds 1300 families and, by years end, more than 500 homes. It’s welcome growth following years of slumps in the housing market.
“There were a lot of jobs lost and to see this kind of recovery again is really making a difference in the local economy,” Ray says.
He says Nocatee, specifically, continues to bring in families because of the all-inclusive planning of the community. He touts the water park, large tracks of preserved land, bike trails and convenient location as just a few of the perks of living in the community. And he expects those features and more to continue bringing growth to the area.
