Another positive report for supporters of a nuclear aircraft carrier in Mayport.
The Government Accounting Office says the region's ship repair companies are able to handle everything needed to maintain a nuclear carrier.
That follows a GAO report that found the cost to upgrade Mayport is less than the Navy first estimated.
Congressman Ander Crenshaw tells Jacksonville's Morning News he's pushing for the project to be sped up.
"Right now they've got it spaced over five years, and I'm going to just say that since we have this savings, let's apply the savings to some of the cost involved and maybe by a year or two, maybe even three".
Right now the carrier is expected to arrive by 2019.
