One Duval County school bus driver is charged with careless driving after police say she caused a crash with more than 60 children on board.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 33-year-old April Walker was driving westbound on University Blvd crossing Spring Park Rd. They say she then drifted to the left, hitting a car that was in the left turn lane going eastbound.
The car’s driver, 23-year-old Jessica Lee Bentley sustained minor injuries. One of the children on board reported minor injuries when she arrived at San Jose Elementary School. No other injuries were reported.
