Jacksonville, FL —
A University of Florida student died Saturday in a car crash.
21-year-old Tucker McCarty and three of his friends were returning to Gainesville from a fishing trip at Ginnie Springs.
McCarty overcorrected his truck after hitting a mailbox on the right shoulder by accident, causing his truck to flip.
The accident happen around 7pm in Columbia County.
His three friends survived the crash.
Family and friends are gathering Wednesday for a viewing at St. Johns Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine around 5 to 8pm.
McCarty's funeral will be held on Thursday at 10am at Anastasia Baptist Church.
