We’ve learned new information about the crash that tied up Baker County traffic this morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol shut down US 90 at West Thomas Drive after the early morning crash, only reopening all lanes at 3 PM. Investigators say 26-year-old Lindsay Danielle Chace was driving eastbound on US 90 when she crossed the centerline for an undetermined reason and had a front end collision with a semi carrying logs.
Chace was pronounced dead on the scene. A third car was hit as a result of the crash, but FHP says neither that driver 64-year-old Fate Holcy, her passenger 41-year-old Lawrence Phillips, the log truck driver 43-year-old Ernest Willians or his passenger 43-year-old Gary Hannans were injured.
FHP has not yet determined whether alcohol was a factor in the crash and says charges are pending further investigation.
