Jacksonville, FL —

Officials are asking for your help in finding the driver responsible for the fatal hit & run crash that killed 13-year-old Brian Alvezios.

Investigators announced Monday they are looking for a 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

"It is hard not knowing, yes it is. I just want justice done. I want whoever did this just to come forward and just, ya know, turn yourself in please," Brian's father, Jack Alvezios told our newspartners Channel 4.

Police say Alvezios was riding his bicycle on Brannan field road just south of Trail Ridge road in Orange Park Saturday night when he was hit.

Officers say the driver of the car didn’t stop. Alvezios was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Why would they hit him and just leave the scene?" says Alvezios.

WOKV spoke with Lieutenant Bill Leeper of Florida Highway Patrol who says although they have gotten tips, they are still searching for the driver.

FHP says they're looking for a model year 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with right-front or side damage, especially in the headlight area.

Troopers say Alvezios was only about a mile away from his home when he was hit.
