Finally feeling like winter

By Matt Augustine

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Lately it hasn't felt a lot like winter here in Florida.

Today, however, you may notice a bit of a chill run down your spine as you step out the door this morning to head to work.  A cold front has moved in and it's bringing a chilly start to our weekend.

WOKV Chief Meteorologist and Accuweather's Heather Zehr says a cold front moving in over the First Coast has brought chilly temps and a whole bunch of wind along that's going to make it feel colder than it is.  Gusts could get up to 35 mph in some places according to Heather, and she says though highs are going to be in the 60s most of the day it will likely feel like it's closer to 50 degrees than 60.

The winter weather may be here to stay, too.  Zehr says not to expect those 70-80 degree temperatures to be back anytime soon.  See your full 5-day forecast and take a look at the interactive radar by clicking on the links provided.
