JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
One person is dead and a sheriff's deputy is being treated for non life-threatening injuries after a crash in Flagler County Wednesday morning.
Deputy Christopher Crego was apparently responding to a crash when he rear-ended a van on State Road 100. The driver of the white van he hit was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputy Crego was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Flagler County Sheriff's Office tells WOKV Crego has been with the agency for about a year and a half.
At this point it's unclear who was at fault in the crash. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
