JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
Alright, so maybe we're exaggerating a little bit with the picture of the completely frozen fountain, but nonetheless, a frigid start to the work week with an overnight freeze makes for a chilly Monday morning. You'll want to break out the hats and gloves for the kids heading to school and give yourself an extra 5 minutes or so to warm up the car before you hit the road.
"We are going to have this very cold weather around for this morning, but things will get better this afternoon," says Accuweather's Heather Zehr.
It will warm up into the 50s this afternoon, which is still 10 degrees colder than normal.
"The one thing that will be on our side today is that it is going to be bright and sunny. Also, we don't have very much wind. That combination will at least make it feel a little better than it might otherwise."
Zehr says Monday night will be chilly, but not nearly as cold as it was Sunday night, with temps in the low 30s in the coldest areas.
Tuesday it will warm back up into the 60s and by the middle of the week heading towards the weekend we should be safely back into the 70s
