JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Newt Gingrich was in Jacksonville overnight after an event at a church Sunday evening.  Monday morning he greeted supporters bright and early at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk hotel in downtown and it was all about getting the vote out.

" I hope every single one of you is going to put something on Facebook this morning.  I hope those of you who are on Twitter are going to tweet this morning.  I hope you're going to email every single one of your friends this morning.  I know a number of you are already out phone calling, making hundreds of calls," Gingrich said to a crowd of about 100.

Gingrich did take aim at Mitt Romney very briefly, calling him a Massachusetts moderate, which by Republican standards, he said, is as good as a liberal.  Gingrich did refocus on himself, touting his record during Ronald Reagan's presidency.

"I wanna run having studied with Reagan in the Reagan years as a junior Congressman.  We adopted policies that created 16 million new jobs."

Gingrich looked ahead and talked about his first few days as president if he were elected.  He said he planned to have a list of executive orders ready to sign that included a repeal of Obamacare and the ousting of all "White House czars."

Gingrich left Jacksonville immediately following the event.  He'll make stops in Pensacola, Fort Meyers, Tampa, and Orlando Monday.
