Jacksonville, FL —
A lawsuit is filed against UNF for its ban of guns on campus.
University President John Delaney tells Jacksonville's Morning News he's taking the lawsuit with a grain of salt.
"We'll do whatever the court says. It's just a hyper legal opportunity for a lawyer to try to make some money".
The new law allows concealed weapons on school campuses, but universities can be exempt if they choose to do so.
Delaney says UNF identifies itself in its literature as a district, and the lawsuit says for that reason, guns should be allowed on campus."We haven't changed what we've been doing for years or what the other 10 universities have done".
