ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. —
The husband of the woman stabbed to death early Tuesday morning in St. Augustine is under arrest.
St. Johns County Sheriff's deputies arrested Frederick Gilliam, 47, Tuesday evening in connection with the stabbing death of his wife, Stephanie T. Gilliam-Singleton, 44.
Deputies say Frederick Gilliam reported a home invasion at his home in which he and his wife suffered stab wounds by two suspects who fled the residence.
Stephanie was stabbed in the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Frederick was treated for his wounds at Flagler Hospital and released.
He was later questioned by detectives and subsequently arrested.
Frederick Gilliam will make his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
Police say they've arrested 47-year Frederick Gilliam of St. Johns County for the murder of his wife Stephanie yesterday morning.
