Jacksonville, FL —
We've been telling you all week that rain and thunderstorms would become more widespread by the weekend. WOKV Chief Meteorologist Accuweather's Heather Zehr is tracking the change that will bring better chances for storms in the afternoon.
Storms on Wednesday brought a tree down on a car on the southside.
Storms on Thursday afternoon will progress inland toward the east coast. Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible during the afternoon and evening with the main hazards including frequent lightning, gusty winds, and hail. You can expect locally heavy rainfall over the weekend and into early next week as the conditions just sit over us.
