ORANGE PARK, Fla. —
Clay County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested a Jacksonville man suspected of murdering a man in his Orange Park motel room.
Spokeswoman Mary Justino says they determined that John Buskager, 22, murdered and robbed his roommate, 49-year-old Andrew Stiekman who was residing at the Rodeway Inn on 300 Park Avenue.
The Jacksonville Medical Examiner's Office determined that Stiekman was strangled. A search of his background indicated that he had once resided at 3643 Post Street, the same address where Buskager was living.
According to the CCSO police report, Buskager met Stiekman with the intent of robbing him. During the course of the robbery, a struggle ensured and Stiekman was killed.
Buskager is now in Clay County jail.
