If you pay your JEA bill by phone, you're going to run into some trouble in the next few days.

The utility's website is down as well after the system was flooded with data on Sunday and they say they're not sure when they'll have the site or phone system operational again.

JEA spokeswoman Gerri Boyce says there are still ways you can pay your bill on time.

"Either go to Winn Dixie, the tax collector, our downtown office, or our third party location.  And, of course, they can always make a payment through the mail."

Boyce says until they fix the problem they're suspending all planned cut-offs, so you won't be disconnected from service because of non-payment if you don't pay on time.

Customer service representatives are still available to answer phones but JEA says wait times may be longer as people are calling in to ask questions about the problem.
