JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

An unmarked JSO vehicle and a fire truck got tangled in a Friday afternoon collision that sent two people to the hospital.

It happened at Beaver Street and Davis Street just after 3:30 p.m.

"The two police officers involved in the crash were taken to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.  The operator of the rescue unit was not injured," said Sgt. R.A. Harville with JSO.

Police are not releasing the names of those involved yet because they're still trying to figure out how the crash happened.  Both roads were blocked off near the intersection while police cleaned up the accident.
