A South Florida teen wanted to throw a party and he was willing to kill his parents to do it, according to police in Port St. Lucie.
Cops showed up at 371 Northeast Grandeur Avenue just after 4 a.m. on Sunday after receiving an anonymous tip that a teenager had murdered his parents. They broke up the party of nearly 60 kids and found the bodies of Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley in the master bedroom.
Investigators say 17-year-old Tyler Hadley bludgeoned his parents with a hammer. The deceased were locked in the room and hidden under blankets and picture frames. The suspected murder weapon was found nearby.
Hadley is now charged with two counts of First Degree Murder for bludgeoning his parents to death. One of the teens attending the party say the 17-year-old killed his parents because, "wouldn't let him throw a party."
Mary-Jo, a local school teacher, was killed first. His father, Blake, worked for Florida Power and Light.
