Mayor Alvin Brown tells WOKV news he will work hard to make Jacksonville a destination location following remarks from the CEO of Visit Jax that city leaders are standing in the way of Jacksonville's growth.
Paul Astleford, the CEO of Visit Jax says city leaders are thinking inwardly when they should be concerned about making Jacksonville a top tourist destination. He's casting doubt on city leadership suggesting personal agendas are hindering the city's growth.
"It takes a while to get started but I'm all in." said Mayor Alvin Brown.
Mayor Brown also says everyone is willing to work together to make the first coast a top tourist destination but says it takes time for everyone to leverage scarce resources.
"Like any organization or institution it takes all of us working together and it takes time."
