A jury convicted 21-year-old Montre Deshawn Richardson for 2nd degree murder in the death of William Rufus Hicks, 32.
Investigators say the victim and a group of friends were at Richardson's house on Easter Sunday 2013 when an argument started between Richardson and his girlfriend. As the argument escalated, Hicks tried to calm Richardson down only to be shot by him at least six times.
Hicks died of his injuries. Richardson now faces a life sentence with a minimum mandatory 25 years. He will be sentenced October 28th.
