There have been anywhere between a hand full to a couple of dozen protesters outside of City Hall in downtown Jacksonville taking part Occupy Jacksonville for the past several weeks.
On Jacksonville’s Morning News on WOKV we asked Mayor Alvin Brown what his take was on the protesters. He says the need to get a job.
“They can express themselves but I really I want to make sure that they have a job,” Mayor Brown went on to say he wants them to have a job, “so that they can pay their college loan off, have a good quality of life, but literally go get a job.”
As for what they’re protesting Mayor Brown says they have something in common and that is that they all want Jacksonville to succeed.
“We believe in making sure we take Jacksonville to the next level but I think I can help them by getting Jacksonville back to work, creating jobs,” says Mayor Brown, “I want those well educated individuals to start looking for a job.”
