Jacksonville, FL —

Flooding continues to be the main concern across Northeast Florida, with more counties now activating their Emergency Operations Centers.

The Duval County EOC is at level 2 activation, meaning necessary agencies are on hand and prepared.

“I really want to make sure that we’re prepared and don’t take anything for granted,” says Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown.

He says the county learned a lot of lessons in the wake of Tropical Storm Beryl, and now stands ready to deal with what we may see from Tropical Storm Debby.  He says right now flooding is a primary concern with 2”-4” still expected before the end of the week.

If you see any significant storm damage or downed power lines Brown urges you to report them to (904)630-CITY.  Any emergencies should still be directed to 911.
