The mother of a missing Jacksonville woman has confirmed that one of two decomposed bodies police discovered last week is that of her daughter.
36-year-old Jeanette Hawkins and her husband, 31-year-old Ricky Morgan, were reported missing by family members on August 17th. Police discovered two decomposed bodies in a wooded area near downtown, but they were so badly decomposed that police could not confirm their identites.
The couple had only been married for a few months. Family members said they reported them missing because it was unusual for the two to be out of contact with friends and family for so long.
Police said Tuesday the identity of the second body is still unknown.
