Jacksonville, FL —

It appears police have arrested a second suspect in a multi-county police chase that ended in Baker County.

Ryan Smith with our partner Action News reports two men took off after a routine traffic stop in Madison County Thursday morning.

That pursuit lasted for about 30 minutes, ending with a crash on I-10 east of Hwy. 90.

The passenger was injured and arrested on scene.  The driver ran into the nearby woods south of the highway.

Deputies from Columbia, Baker, Suwanee, and Madison counties were actively searching for the suspect in about a five square mile perimeter in the woods.

A helicopter with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is circling the area.

FHP couldn't say why the two ran from police in the first place.  It's still not clear if shots were fired during this pursuit, according to FHP.
