Nearly one-thousand new jobs filled in NE Florida

By Rich Jones

Jacksonville, FL —

Several hundred new jobs, filled in one day.  That recent national hiring day by McDonald's brought 981 new employees, full and part-time, in northeast Florida.
Nationally, McDonald's planned to hire 50,000 new employees.   We'll find out Thursday how many of those positions were filled.

According to a statement from the company, the local restaurants had an overwhelmingly positive response to the hiring day.

Statewide, Florida McDonald’s franchisees nearly tripled their goal of hiring 1,500 employees by filling more than 4,200 positions.
